Age Relaxation
Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates, Persons with Disabilities, and children or grandchildren of freedom fighters of Himachal Pradesh receive 5 years’ age relaxation. Eligible Himachal Pradesh Government employees may apply up to 45 years of age for HPAS and other specified posts, and up to 42 years of age for the Himachal Pradesh Police Service and District Controller posts.
Exam Breakdown
Prelims: Two objective papers of 200 marks each, carrying a total of 400 marks. Paper II is qualifying in nature.
Mains: Eight descriptive papers carrying a total of 1,100 marks, of which 900 marks are counted towards merit. Prelims marks are not counted in the final merit.
